Corte carezzabella is located in an optimal position that allows you to visit the two naturalistic parks of the Euganean Hill and of the Po Delta, discovering the charme if their nature and the taste of traditional local food.

The discover of the National park of the Euganean hills can start from Monselice, 15 minutes north from Carezzabella.  Euganean hills’ shape reminds their volcanic nature that still appears in the thermal water of Abano and Montegrotto. In the park you have never-ended possibilities to have excursions by foot or by bike, besides, all the area is studded with historical villages, ancient abbeys, villas and castles. You can not miss to visit Arquà Petrarca, a medieval jewel rested on a hill, the place where Francesco Petrarca, the famous Italian writer, decided to withdraw. Not far from it there is Barbarigo’s villa at Valsanzibio with his garden in the Italian style; Praglia’s abbey, Monteortone’s sanctuary and the lonely Rua Mount’s hermitage, situated on the top of a big hill. These are all places of deep spirituality and beauty. Before leaving the Euganean hills’ park you have to try some specialities of this rich land. Like, for example, “bigoli” with game sauce, top round cockerel, tipical cold cuts and and then some... Everything accompanied with valuable local wines like the famous Moscato and other red wines.

 

From Corte Carezzabella on the way to go to the sea you will find the Po Delta  park. This is a magic place made of boundless horizons, of deep silences and with a lively nature and fauna that will astonish you. Land, water and sky seem to mix and mix up. The internal valleys of salty water, rich of fish and mussels, extend to the sea, with the only obstacle of the so called “scanni”: sand’s tongues of changeable shapes which are visited only by fishermen and fans. These were indeed The Elettrid’ islands, attended y the ancient Greeks because of a flourish emporium in Adria. The National archaeological museum is an unexpected proof of this emporium.
