In Polesine rather than communicating and travelling through commercial roads, people have always preferred water ways...The river Adige, with the fast flow of its water and the river Po with its slow stream, enclose Polesine from north to south. These two rivers will introduce you in your journey to the discover of this fascinating place.

The rivers flow quite bringing with it its history and the stories of the people who live along its banks.

Apart from these two big rivers, Polesine is drawn by a spider net of natural and artificial canals dug for irrigation and reclamation aims. Nowadays they are perfect for walking or cycling.

The Po Delta is the most humid area in Italy: whereas the water meets the sea the atmosphere is unique, deep and bright.

The towns and the villages in Polesine are rich in history and art. In Rovigo, Adria and Lendinara you can walk along the streets of the city centre or visit the churches that often foster the works of the Venice or Ferrara’s painting schools. 

You can not miss the national archaeological museum in Adria, neither  the “Museo dei Grandi Fiumi” or the rich Pinacoteca dei Concordi in Rovigo.
